  11. I have a SupraExpress 288PnP Faxmodem on my A1200. My A1200 has a 
  12. MBX1230XA with an 030/882 at 50 MHz and 4 MB Fast RAM. I have a 60 MB 2.5" 
  13. Seagate and a 1.2 GB 3.5" Maxtor Hard Drives.

  15. Now, my problem is that I have slow D/Ls with a large number of errors, 
  16. when using Term 4.6. I had the same problem w/ Term 4.3, 4.5 and all of 
  17. them also with a PPI 14.4 FaxModem. Term is set up with Simple I/O, the 
  18. baud rate is set at 38,800, and I have changed the init string so many 
  19. times that I don't remember what it is set at now. :(

  21. Anyways, I get very few errors while reading mail, news etc., but as soon 
  22. as I start a D/L my CPS starts out high and within 30 seconds or so, it 
  23. drops to 500-600 CPS, with a large amount of errors. This happens on 
  24. local BBSs as well as my Internet Provider. My friends on campus have 
  25. very few errors compared to my computer (and that doesn't look good for 
  26. the Amiga v. PC fight) and my roommate has been using my old 14.4 modem 
  27. without a problem.

  29. This happens everytime I try to D/L either at day or night. There has 
  30. been only 2 or 3 times that I have had a D/L go with only 5 or 6 errors, 
  31. while keeping the speed up. I have not been able to duplicate those 
  32. events, especially since the settings weren't changed.

  34. The only thing I can't correct for is line noise, but the campus is 
  35. supposedly on a digital Centrex system, and my friends have had little 
  36. problems with 28.8 connections so I doubt thats a problem.
